Hanging various items on the walls is an ordinary order of things that happens to everyone who moves into a new apartment or appears in it after renovation. Sometimes it happens that we do not have the necessary tools, for example a drill. Other times, for various reasons, we do not want to punch holes in the walls. How to hang without drilling?

Problems with hanging frames, photos and other items

Unfortunately, the problems that arise when hanging various items on the walls are also varied. The basic ones have already been mentioned: it can happen to anyone that in a newly inhabited house the necessary equipment is missing. Sometimes it happens that when trying to drill or hammer nails in the walls form unsightly cavities or cracks. Other times we are not fully convinced that we want to hang an item permanently in a particular place. Subsequent changes will generate new defects in the wall, which will have to be supplemented. What remains is the search for less invasive ways, which allow you to avoid drilling.

Non-invasive way to hang a frame: use Velcro and adhesive hooks

Not drilling into the walls avoids a number of other difficulties. These include the great waste of time or the dust that results from drilling inside the room. One way to place items on the wall in a non-invasive way is to use special Velcro that is ready to hang. It seems that this kind of hooking on the wall, for example, frames, can be somewhat flawed. In practice, it has many advantages: Velcro is very easy to use and, perhaps most importantly, usually do not fall off the wall. They are double-sided, made of plastic, which increases their adhesion and allows you to lift more than seven kilograms. Just stick one part on the back of the frame and press it against the wall. After about 30 seconds, we can hang the frame or clock of our choice on them.

Self-adhesive hooks are also a non-invasive way of hanging things on the walls. Their advantage is the possibility to choose pieces of different shape, size and ability to hold lighter or heavier objects.

Masses for fixing objects on walls

You can also use other ways to attach frames without drilling. Metamorphoses of this kind can be made with the help of masses for fixing objects directly on the walls. With such products, it is essential to read the information on the labels. This necessity occurs because of the diversity of fixing masses regarding their mode of action, consistency and purpose. A very convenient way to use them are fixing strips, which are usually purchased in sets containing several pieces. They are valued for their ease of use and the fact that they do not cause unnecessary dirt. They are also available in the form of cubes or cakes.

Tapes and patches. Waterproof plasters

Tapes and patches are also similar in action, i.e. hanging frames without drilling. Their advantage is the ability to efficiently attach to the walls objects weighing up to 6 kg. We stick them vertically on the entire length of the object. Unfortunately, despite their power, you need to take care that they do not have access to water. The same is with the sunlight, which has a bad influence on them. Then a much better option is to buy waterproof patches. Thanks to their flexible structure, they adhere better to the surface. They work well in kitchens and bathrooms, but they will hold less weight. Usually you can hang items weighing up to 2 kg on them

The use of magnets

Less frequently chosen solution is to use magnets. You can attach them to the walls and hang metal objects on them. Although they are more difficult to install, they are valued by those who have e.g. sheet metal paintings or valuable ornaments they do not want to damage
