Unleashing the Power of IT Outsourcing: Why Poland Shines as a Top Destination
Keeping your bathroom clean, especially if you don’t want to use chemical cleaners, is not easy. Of course, natural ways to clean the stone that is omnipresent here may not be as simple as with traditional remedies, but they are just as effective, so if caring for the environment is on your mind, check out our hints and live a greener life.
In our bathrooms, scale accumulates in various places. It appears on the faucets, shower tray, bathtub, shower stall, tiles, as well as the toilet. Often removing it causes us quite a problem and takes a lot of time. Here are some proven ways to get rid of it quickly and effectively using home remedies that are safe for the environment and the family budget.
Spirit vinegar is a way that has worked for years to remove scale from fixtures. It is equally, if not more, effective than chemical cleaners. However, when using it, we have to reckon with the unpleasant pungent odor it gives off. Of course, there are ways to deal with this as well – just add a few drops of essential oil to it, and the smell will turn out to be much more bearable.
How to clean? Just pour or wipe it over the soiled areas and wait 5-10 minutes. If you are anxious to clean the shower handset, it is worth soaking a cloth and wrapping the handset with it, or pour vinegar into a bag or bowl and soak the object in the solution. Vinegar will not only remove limescale, but additionally add shine to the fixture, especially if you wipe the surface with a dry cloth after rinsing.
However, remember to wear protective gloves when cleaning the bathroom with vinegar, and rinse the cleaned surfaces thoroughly with water after you’re done, as vinegar can cause abrasion of, for example, chrome from bathroom faucets. If you want to enhance the effect, you can combine vinegar with hydrogen peroxide water.
Lemon juice will also work great for removing bathroom scale. Just pour the juice into a bottle with an atomizer and spray it on the desired spot. For better results, it is worth repeating this action. After several minutes, rinse thoroughly with water and wipe dry. For the lazy version, you can use a sliced lemon 🙂
An excellent substitute for juice will be citric acid combined with water. Just combine a glass of warm water with 2 tablespoons of acid, mix thoroughly and pour into an atomizer bottle. Use like any other cleaner.
Baking soda, which is present in every home, also removes scale. The best results will be achieved by making a paste of it in a 3:1 ratio of soda and water. Apply such a prepared substance to the soiled areas (a sponge will work best for this purpose) and leave it for about 2 hours. After this time we wash with water and wipe.
Soda powder, on the other hand, will help us clean grout and bathroom tiles from various deposits. Here, however, a cloth or cleaning brush will come in handy for better results.
This is the least eco-friendly and natural, but a great patent, especially for cleaning limescale in the toilet. Just pour 1.5 cups of cola into the toilet bowl and leave it for about an hour to get rid of even stubborn scale. Then clean with a brush and rinse.
