Winter and Christmas is the time of year that many people look forward to. Christmas is associated with unique atmosphere and exceptional climate, which is given among others by Christmas decorations. The living room is usually the most decorated place in the house, because it is where the Christmas tree is most often placed. You have to think a little bit harder to decorate the rest of the rooms, but we suggest how to decorate your bedroom for Christmas.

Change bed linen and decorations

The focal point of every bedroom is the bed. It’s the focal point of any bedroom, it’s the biggest piece of furniture and it’s the one that gives you the most scope for decoration. Changing the bedding is the easiest thing you can do to change the atmosphere in your bedroom. In a large double bed, the so-called Christmas double bedding 200×200 will work perfectly. Additionally you can throw a blanket or a bedspread with a winter theme on the bed and some extra pillows. In a bedroom with a single bed or in a child’s room a simple Christmas bedding will also change the look of the room and give it a Christmas atmosphere. You can hang a string of lights on the bed frame for the holiday season to add even more special and festive atmosphere

Standing decorations

There is no shortage of tabletops and surfaces in the bedroom where decorations can stand. Bedside tables, dressers, dressing tables – all these pieces of furniture can be decorated for the holidays. You can opt for live plants and buy some tiny junipers or other conifers in pots, for example. All you need is a piece of festive wrapping paper to cover the pot and a string of small battery-operated lights to make them look like Christmas trees. Fire is very much associated with Christmas, and so are candles. Christmas candle holders are available in stationary stores and online every year in late fall. Scented candles in variants such as gingerbread, chocolate with orange, apple with cinnamon or cranberry, will wrap the bedroom with a delicate, festive scent and emphasize this atmosphere. If you have flannel bedding in your bedroom, be especially careful with burning candles as this material is extremely flammable. Place candles away from the bed and do not leave a lit candle unattended

Window and windowsill decoration

If you have little space in your bedroom, but still want to decorate it for Christmas, you can bet on window decoration. With the help of special stencils you can use fake snow to paint Christmas motifs on your windows. On the windowsill you can create a white down of cotton wool, arrange on it spruce branches, small Christmas tree baubles and battery-operated tealights. The spruce branches will be a substitute for the Christmas tree, they will bring a wonderful and unique smell of the forest into the bedroom, and the lights will add a warm atmosphere. You can also hang Christmas tree lights in the window, which will create a beautiful glow around the window. The windowsill can also be decorated with ceramic figurines and on the window frame you can hang, for example, dried fruits (apple and orange slices) and Christmas tree ornaments

Christmas time is a special time of the year, which both children and adults look forward to. To make the atmosphere of Christmas present in the whole house, take care of decorations and small details that create a festive atmosphere. Enjoy this time, use it to relax and meet with family and friends. It is only a few days in the whole year, so it is worth celebrating it lavishly.
